Q1: What is the difficulty level of JEE exam? What is it all about?

The difficulty level of JEE Main exam is a little high than the class 12 board exams. Students who are studying in class 12 can score good marks in JEE Main by studying a little extra for the JEE. Students who have studied NCERT textbooks of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics thoroughly can get good marks. The joint Entrance Examination, popularly known as JEE Main is for admission into NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs for B.Tech and architecture courses in India.

Q2: Can I get HBTU at 100000 rank?

Harcourt Butler Technical University accepts JEE Main scores, followed by JoSAA Counselling for admission to the BTech course. In 2024, the cutoff ranged between 38255 and 89966 for BTech. 

Q3: Is there negative marking in JEE Main?

The answer to this question is a Yes. As per the exam pattern of JEE Main 2024, 4 marks would be awarded for every question answered correctly, while negative marking will be done for every incorrect answer. This implies that 1 mark is deducted every time a candidate answers the question wrongly.  Zero or no marks will be given to un-attempted questions

Q4: Is the AEEE syllabus same as JEE Main syllabus?

No. The syllabus of AEEE is not same as JEE. Candidates must note that AEEE and JEE Mains are two different exam meant for different purposes. AEEE is conducted for admission to B.Tech courses in campuses of Amrita University while JEE Mains is conducted for admission to NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs. In terms of syllabus, although both AEEE and Mains have class 11 and 12 topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, there are some topics which are a part of Mains syllabus but not in AEEE. Also, JEE main donot have english as one of the subjects, while AEEE includes english in their syllabus and exam. Also, the difficulty level of JEE is way ahead of AEEE. Q5: In how many languages JEE Main exam is conducted?

National Testing Agency conducts JEE Main exam in a total of 13 languages. The languages in which paper is conducted are Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu in addition to Hindi English and Gujarati. Students can select the language of their choice from the available options while filling the application form. The language of JEE Main question paper during the exam will be available in a total of 4 languages, English Hindi Urdu and the language selected by the candidates. The language of paper can be switched among these 4 languages during the exam.

Q6: How is JEE Main conducted, online or offline?

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted in the following modes:
1. Online Mode (Computer-Based Test – CBT)
Primary Mode: The majority of the exam is conducted online.
Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for both Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2A (B.Arch – Mathematics and Aptitude Test).
How It Works: Candidates sit at a computer terminal and answer questions on the screen.
2. Offline Mode (Pen-and-Paper Based)
This mode is limited to Paper 2B (B.Planning) and the Drawing Test portion of Paper 2A (B.Arch).
How It Works: Candidates draw/design answers on paper, which is evaluated manually.
Key Points:
Online Mode: CBT ensures efficiency, quick results, and reduces human error in evaluation.
Offline Components: Drawing tests for architecture aspirants still require manual input to test design skills.

Q7: How many students registered for JEE Mains 2025 Session 2?

Around 10 Lacs candidates have registered for JEE Mains 2025 session 2 exam. The total number of candidates registere for JEE Main 2025 session 2 will be announced by the NTA along with the result in April. In JEE Mains session 1 exam 2025, 13.11 Lacs candidates registered out of which 12.58 Lacs candidates appeared in the exam. JEE Mains Session 2 exam date 2025 is April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9.

Q8: Does NATA syllabus overlap with JEE Main Paper 2?

There is some overlap in Mathematics and Drawing topics, but the focus differs. NATA has a broader emphasis on architecture-specific aptitude, while JEE Main Paper 2 includes planning aspects and has a different distribution of marks.

 Q9: Can I change the language of the question paper during the exam?

Question paper during the exam will be visible in English Hindi Urdu and the language selected by the candidate while filling the JEE Main application form. Candidates can switch the language of question paper between the default languages which is English Hindi Urdu and selected language in the application. In total, JEE Main is conducted in 13 languages and candidates have the option to select any language out of the available options. Candidates cannot switch the language of question paper between all 13 languages during the exam.

Q10: Is the difficulty level of SITEEE same as that of JEE Mains?

The SITEEE exam is a bit easier than the JEE Mains. But if a candidate does not prepare well, then the exam will be difficult for him or her. The questions asked in the exam are of 11th and 12th standard. There is no negative marking, and each question carries two marks. So, in total, the paper is worth 120 marks. It is advised by the candidates to do proper revisions during the preparation period. Further, it is advised to the candidates that they should remain cool-minded in the examination centre and attempt all those questions that a candidate knows for sure in the first go, and second time go through the paper to see which questions are still there to solve. Spend one or two minutes at max to solve such questions. There is no negative marking in the SITEEE exam, so intelligent guessing and quick paper solving can lead a candidate in a positive direction. Rest depends on how much preparation a candidate does.

Q11: What is the JEE Main Round 6 closing rank for CSE at MAIT Delhi?

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank was 54287 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to CSE at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.
