Yes, candidates get selected for admission to BTech at Symbiosis Institute of Technology with 88% in JEE Main. Q4: Can I take admission in any institute if I do not get JEE Main cutoff marks?

Candidates who do score above JEE Main cutoff marks are eligible to take admissions in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs but not IITs. To appear in the admission process for IITs, candidates need to get marks above than the JEE Main cutoff and appear in JEE Advanced exam.

Q5: What is the cutoff for DAIICT?

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology accepts JEE Main scores, followed by a counselling process for admission to the BTech courses. Q6: What is JEE Main Rank Predictor 2025?

JEE Main Rank Predictor is a tool develped on past year percentile and rank data. When any candidate provides their NTA percentile, the rank predictor of JEE Mains will give an estimated rank by analysing the previous year percentile vs rank information. The accuracy of JEE Main Rank Predictor is precisely equal to the actual rank but one major factor will be total number of candidates who take the test. Q7: What JEE rank is required for Thapar University CSE admission?

Thapar University CSE cutoff 2024 was 54620 for the General AI category students for admission. The first-round cutoff for the same stood at 32664. NTA has released the JEE Mains Session 2 Result 2025 online on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. To check JEE Mains 2025 result, candidates can follow the step-by-step process mentioned below: 

  • Visit the official website of NTA JEE Main result at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2025.
  • On the latest news banner, click on ‘View JEE Main result 2025 session 2’
  • On the next page, enter the application number, password and security pin

Q12: What are the types of JEE Main cutoff?

JEE Main cutoff is of two types, one is qualifying cutoff for JEE Advanced and the other is admission cutoff for the institutes. JEE Main qualifying cutoff is released by the NTA along with the result and is in the form of percentile scores. NTA releases JEE Main cutoff for a total of six categories which include unreserved (CRL), Gen-EWS, Open-PwD, OBC-NCL, SC and ST. JEE Main admission cutoff is released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority JoSAA and is in the form of All India Rank.

Q13: Can I get IGDTUW, B.Tech with 88% in JEE Main?

General, OBC, SC, ST, or PwD categories have different cutoff ranks for admission. In any case, with a 88% score in JEE Fundamental, you have areas of strength for an of getting into IGDTUW for a few B.Tech programs.
A 88% score in JEE Principal ordinarily means a percentile somewhere in the range of 95 and 98, which is an extremely serious score.
If you belong to OBC,  SC,  ST,  or PwD categories,  the cutoff ranks for you will be significantly lower,  further increasing your chances of admission.

Q14. Can I take admission in University of Hyderabad BTech without JEE Main?

University of Hyderabad admission to the BTech course is based on JEE Main,  TS EAMCET, and various other entrance examination scores. Students must secure decent marks in the entrance examinations for a successful admission. The university releases the cut off and the admissions are held accordingly. This cut off changes every year and is dependent on various factors such as the level of competition and others.

Q15: Does GITAM accept JEE Main scores for admission in BTech courses?

Yes. Your scores in competitive exams such as JEE, TS EAMCET, or Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, are crucial to securing a seat in engineering at GITAM. If you haven’t appeared for any of the mentioned exams, you would need to apply and appear for GITAM Admissions Test (GAT) to qualify for engineering at GITAM.

Q16: Which category has the lowest cutoff in JEE Mains 2023 exam?

As per the JEE Main 2023 cutoff data released by the NTA PwD category has the lowest cutoff of 0.0013527. The highest cutoff is for general category which is 90.7788642. The PwD candidates scoring above 0.0013527 NTA score are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced for admission to IITs. The PwD cutoff has been lowered in 2023 to 0.0013527 which was 0.0031029 in the year 2022.

Q17: Can I get VNIT Nagpur with 97 percentile?

VNIT Nagpur BTech admission is based on JEE Main scores, and the cutoff varies every year. As per VNIT Nagpur cutoff 2023, the last round closing cutoff for BTech course was ranged 832 and 58063 for general category candidates, among which CSE was the most competitive specialisation. While a 97 percentile is a good score, it may not be sufficient to secure a seat at VNIT Nagpur, especially for general category candidates. However, if you belong to a reserved category, you may have a better chance of getting admitted with a 97 percentile.
To increase your chances of getting admitted to VNIT Nagpur, you may want to consider the following strategies:

  1. Improve your JEE Main score: Focus on preparing well for JEE Main, and attempt as many mock tests as possible to improve your score.
  2. Apply for other colleges: Consider applying to other NITs, IIITs, and other engineering colleges that have a lower cutoff than VNIT Nagpur.
  3. Prepare for other entrance exams: In case you don’t get admitted to VNIT Nagpur, you can prepare for other entrance exams like WBJEE, UPSEE, and others to increase your chances of getting admitted to other colleges.

Q18: Does GL Bajaj Noida accept any other entrance exam scores apart from JEE Mains scores for admission to its BTech programme?

According to the official website of GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida, admissions to the BTech program are conducted through the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC), which is based on the JEE Main examination. The institute does not mention accepting any other entrance exam scores for BTech admissions.

Q19: What is the fee to participate in JEE Main Counselling?

There is no fees for JoSAA counselling registration. Candidates can register for the counselling and participate in the counselling without any fees. However, candidates need to pay the seat confirmation fees once the seat is allotted to them. The fees for seat confirmation would vary for various categories and has to be paid online.
